Vinyle Set
Daniel began his journey in 2002, learning the art of DJing on vinyl before celebrating his 20th birthday the following year with his first-ever vinyl set on a boat. Soon after, he sold his precious few records to buy a pair of Pioneer CDJ-200s, stepping into a new digital era of performance. Together with his long-time friend DJ Gnome, he co-founded the legendary Belgian party series Amanita Muscaria, where the pair delivered countless psytrance sets to wild and dedicated crowds. As the years passed and psytrance evolved, Daniel began seeking a deeper challenge and rediscovered his true passion: Goa Trance, both old and new school. “It was the best decision I ever made,” he says, and it shows. His sets became journeys through lush, organic soundscapes, filled with the hypnotic energy that defined the genre’s golden age. His performances have lit up countless dancefloors across Europe: from Psy-Fi, Connection, to A Hop Into Goa, Ohm Spirit, A Good Old Fashioned Goa, Transylvaliens, Decadance, and many more. Three years ago, Daniel returned to his roots, investing in a pair of Technics turntables and beginning a new chapter as a vinyl purist. His Goa trance collection has since become a treasure trove, and his vinyl sets are famous for transforming the stage into a pulsating jungle – alive, primal, and deeply psychedelic. Today, Sjama’dan continues to evolve as an artist, honouring the past while pushing his craft ever forward. With an infectious love for the music and an unstoppable drive to share it with the world, he remains a vital force in the modern Goa movement.
